Dream11 with a bid of Rs 222 crore for over a 4.5-month deal was confirmed after the BCCI suspended Chinese firm Vivo’s tender for the IPL over the on-going Ladakh tensions.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Dream11, a fantasy gaming sports platform had replaced Vivo because of the sponsor for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, which is to be held within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September to November.

Other bids included Unacademy that stood a bid of Rs 210 crore, the Tata group for a bidding amount of Rs 180 crore, and Byju’s, which made a bid of Rs 125 crore.

In the past, Dream11 has made its presence within the International Cricket Council (ICC), International Hockey Federation (FIH), Pro Kabaddi League, Hero Indian Super League (ISL), BCCI, and thus the US’ National Basketball Association (NBA).
